Dan brings us the third sermon in the Our Values series, from Philippians 2:12-18. He unpacks how we are to grow in our Christian lives.
Growth: Choosing to grow as followers of Christ in every area of our lives.
Motivations for growth (from this passage):
•Because Jesus will return (“fear and trembling,” v12)
•We experience being ‘in sync’ with God (i.e. our work and His work are aligned, v13)
•We will become more blameless and pure (i.e. we cannot be accused of lacking integrity between beliefs and actions, v15)
•We will shine as better witnesses (v15)
•Not labouring in vain (v16)
•It results in great rejoicing for us and others (v18)
